After completing the campaign, talk to the drifter back at the tower. He’ll give you a quest called “The Stasis Prototype.” This is the quest for the only weapon to do Stasis damage, the Salvation’s Grip Exotic Grenade Launcher.

Step 1 — Gathering Intel

This step will require killing Fallen Captains and Servitors on Europa. The fastest way to complete this is by doing the public event at “Camdus Ridge.” It’s a simple protect the hill game, just stand near the drill and fend off any enemies that get close. Remember to trigger the heroic event as this will spawn and an additional wave of enemies granting more progression per public event. To trigger the heroic event, shoot the machine node near the drill at every extraction site. These machine nodes have a fair bit of health so it’s a good idea to shoot off the initial wave of enemies and then focus on destroying the device.

Part the Europa Map — Camdus Ridge & Asterion Abyss

The other public events are in Asterion Abyss and Eventide Ruins. The current public event cycles between these two locations & Camdus Ridge. Not all public events spawn Fallen Captains. To guarantee a Captain & Servitors after completing the public event at Camdus Ridge, head over to the Lost Sector at Asteroin Abyss. This Lost Sector contains one or two Servitors in the final room with the cache and a captain in between. The final loot cache will also grant Herealways Pieces which will be important in the next step.

The most efficient way to complete this step is by running the public event, heading over to the Asteroid Abyss lost sector, and running it until the public event cycles back to Camdus Ridge.

Step 2 — Complete an Empire Hunt

The next step is fairly straight forward, grab an Empire Hunt from Variks and complete it. If you wait to complete your first Empire Hunt until after starting this part of the exotic quest it will grant progress. The first Empire Hunt is called ‘Dark Priestess’ double-check current quests to see if the quest is already acquired, if not talk to Variks and be sure to grab it. If this Empire Hunt is already completed, no worries this is where those Herealways pieces come into play. Trade in 40 Herealways pieces for a single Empire Hunt contract. Herealways pieces drop from completing activities on Europa, but not in large quantities. Saving the first Empire Hunt for this Exotic Quest will save a good chunk of pieces.

Step 3 — Kill Enemies with Stasis Abilities

This step is a no-brainer, just kill enemies affected by Stasis. Quick progress can be awarded by completing public events or lost sectors and using the super ability to destroy enemies. Progress can be accelerated by using a weapon with the demolitionist perk and armor with decent Intellect to regain grenade and super energy quicker than normal.

Step 4 — Complete the Lost Sector at Asteroin Abyss

The final step before the mission to obtain the Salvation’s Grip. Early in the guide, I mentioned a lost sector, the one located in Asteroin Abyss. To complete this step head over to this lost sector, it should be familiar to those who are following along in the guide. Nothing in the lost sector itself changes, just run it like normal. At the end, an associate of the Spider will be waiting behind the barricade after opening the loot cache. Just interact with the associate and the quest will progress, requiring a trip back to the tower to talk to Drifter. After speaking with him in his usual location at the tower, he’ll progress the Exotic Quest, granting access to the ‘Stealing Stasis’ quest on Europa. Head back to the fast travel point near Variks and activate the quest outside his building.

Step 5 — Steal Some Stasis

This is it, the mission to get the Stasis Grenade Launcher. If you are running this solo make sure you are not underleveled. Just run through the areas killing ads until the weapon’s location is reached.

Congrats the weapon is yours!

Being the only Stasis weapon in the game, I expect one team member to run this during Nightfall strikes. Its ability to freeze most enemies in their tracks provides an opportunity to land free power weapon hits and do consistent damage. I am personally unsure of its exact place in the PvE meta, but nonetheless you are now prepared to use it however you see fit.
